GLUED evokes a history through which audio-visual material is understood as a constituent form of our culture.
Undertaking a media archaeology where the past comes to represent a space of possibilities, such a strategy is rooted in a manipulative questioning of the archive—or more recently, the database. An appropriative and subversive act that seeks to go beyond the two-dimensional pixelated surface of the image, it has for aim to allude to the fissures within contemporary historical discourses.
With a scope that lies on the borders of historical criticism and anthropological discourse, GLUED seeks out the irrevocable tensions between media representation and knowledge production. In a world over-abundant with images, it is searching to tell a personal story.
